I have days now where I just want to go back to bed. I fall asleep on the sofa sometimes. I know I don't go to bed early enough and my diet probably isn't very healthy but I don't remember ever feeling like this before.

There is so much to do around the house and all I want to do is curl up on the sofa and ignore it. I've got all these jobs I need to crack on with, not just general housework but decorating, decluttering, etc, and it just goes round in my head and I never do anything.

I never used to be like this. What's going on? Is it an old age thing? I'm not bloody forty just yet.

Do you mean recently? Or for some months? If recently, I've felt a bit shit for a few weeks on and off. I thought it could be viral. I have had disturbed nights but I just feel like no sleep is enough. However, I also have annual blood tests and over the years have discovered I have hypothyroidism, anaemia and low vitamin D all of which cause fatigue and general crap feelings. I would suggest going to your gp and ask for routine blood tests. Most of these things can be sorted (relatively) easily with tablets. Good luck!

Thanks. I did wonder if it was just a bit of a deficiency in something or whether something was going round. I'm usually fairly proactive but lately I don't have any enthusiasm or motivation. I know diet can play a big part and I'm not particularly fit either. Need a bit of a shake up I think.

I would recommend asking for those blood tests if I were you.

Agree with the blood test suggestion.

Two years ago, I felt like you. I got my iron and vitamin D sorted and have so much more energy now.
