Sore itchy eyes but not conjunctivitis?

It started with a tiny red patch on the outside corner of one eye. I thought it was eczema which I do occasionally get when stressed (started new job last week!)

But now it's all along the lower lashes on both eyes. Just along the lash line very close to the eye, no where else and no redness on the actual eye. No stickiness.

Any ideas and do I try gp or chemist first?

Have you changed moisturiser? I found I was allergic to a moisturiser I tried. My optician recommended cleaning eye area with blephaclean wipes/solution /gel or similar - can get from opticians or boots. Worked for me after using for about a week.

Since then I've also had to change contact lens solution as my eyelids were irritated (although not my eyes). Again blephaclean sorted it out.

Good luck.

Sounds like blepharitis www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Blepharitis/Pages/Symptoms.aspx

I used to treat my mums by swabbing with warm water to which I added baby shampoo .

But you could ask chemist ,sure they'd help .

There's something called blephagel you can get which breaks down the built up fat and cells etc that can cause this. It's amazing.
