Yes. From 6 months after birth I lost lots of hair but it does stop. Then you get the dreaded tufty re growth!

1st baby, god my hair fell out for months afterward. Can't remember how long, but it didn't halp as my hair was so thick anyway.

2nd baby, I went to the hairdressers more throughout pregnancy and after and it wasn't as bad.

Actually I think DH ended up unblocking the sink that first time round there was so much of my hair... eugh

I have to empty the hairbrush after every second use!!!!!!!

I clean out the plugholes all the time, else we'd flood.....

my head is very itchy and my hair seems very full/thick, I definately haven't shed any excess hair yet. It's 11 weeks since I gave birth, is it possible that the hair loss hasn't caught up yet and that's what is making my scalp itch ?

8 or 9 months later for me.I'd wake up in the morning & find the pillow covered in hair.I think it finally stopped after a year.

VoodooFig · 28/11/2006 20:09

fatfeet Mine was dead itchy before it all started falling out.

Mine seems to be just starting to stop. DD3 is 7m.

alibobble · 28/11/2006 20:45

mine took a while to start falling out and then went mad! It started to slow when period came back (TMI) and now (dd is 6mth) is sorta normal. I was having to clean hair brush every day and unblock the sink. they warn you but you never expect THAT MUCH!

thisturkeyneedsstuffing · 29/11/2006 08:08

mine didn't start until about 8 months but ds is now nearly two and I still have thin temples although hair loss on my brush is back to normal. The worse place was the shower it just didn't seem to stop! Apparently it can go on for 2 years.
