Cystitis - Help!

I am right in the middle of it. Taken one of those sachets drinking copious amounts of water. Does anyone have any advice. It hurts like hell!!!

Keep taking the sachets, drink as much as you physically can, get in a warm bath and (revolting as it is) wee in the bath. Hot water bottle when you get out of the bath.

If it's still bad tomorrow go and see GP/walk in for ABs.

I used to get it badly, and if I could flush it through in 24 hrs I was fine, if not it needed ABs.

Is it just water or can I drink tea?

Oh yes, horrible isn't it.

Drink water, water and more water.

If no better then you probably will need antibiotics.

Do you feel shivery and unwell in general too?

Yes really shivery!

Don't have tea the caffeine will make you feel worse. Lots of water

I only ever had it once and it was horrendous, drink lots of water and get a jug of warm water to pour over yourself when you pee, you can't be drinking loads of water and then constantly running a bath!! But the jug of water REALLY works, friend told me when i had it and it was genius.

It's a lot better than it was thanks. It really is horrible isn't it. When I have had it before it's never shown an infection so wanted to try and avoid AB and I am on so many tablets for various illnesses! Feel a bit like I have been hit by a bus!! Really aching! But on the mend thanks for asking.

My sympathies. It's fucking horrible. I find the sachets a big help but get ABs if you feel really bad. The pain and cramping as your bladder empties is truly awful. Hope you feel better
