High hemoglobin

I had some blood tests yesterday and the results showed my 'means test hemoglobin' was high. Now I have googled this and of course it has shown one of the reasons is cancer. She said that the doctor had said the level was nothing to worry about but having an ongoing illness has taught me not to trust medics and do my own research. Does anyone know anything about this area and can give me some more information? Anyone else had this?

How high was it? You can have a high haemoglobin for a variety of reasons, dehydration being one of them. If it was anything to worry about I'd expect your other results to be affected too.
