How to see an endocrinologist privately?

I'm wondering how I go about seeing an endocrinologist privately. I'm having issues at the moment, not least my hair falling out in handfuls. I've had blood tests at the GP, all "normal", though my iron is terribly low, as it's still within the so called normal range, they won't do anything. My thyroid tests are also normal, though my GP doesn't test the T3 levels (which I believe is rther important!!).

Apologies if you've read this before, I have posted re iron levels and hair loss recently. I'm now at the point where I've lost all faith with the GP as, after the last consultation, it was pretty clear she was telling me to just live it. She said an endo would't see me with my results.

So, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to go about getting to see an endo privately. Any advice/info gratefully received. (Also apologies if I've psoted about this before - my brain is fogged at the moment and I can't remember!)

I think you can just ask your GP to write a referral letter.

Ask your GP for a referral and if they won't allow on the NHS then say you will pay.
