Endometrial ablation

In April I had a hysteroscopy and a large polyp removed. This was to cury my very heavy periods. It didn't work, so 8 weeks later I had a laparoscopy to look for endometriosis. Small pockets were found and cauterised behind the uterus. My first period was lighter, second heavier. The pain and discomfort throughout the month has been unchanged. I take codeine and use a tens machine when it's really bad. Consultant then recommended endometrial ablation, which I had two days ago. Initially felt like I was in early labour, but that passed after a few hours. Yesterday was tired but surprisingly felt ok. Early hours of this morning, though, was woken by hideous stitch like pains all over abdomen. I feel like I'm pumped full of air and might burst. Is this normal? I'm so sick of owning this poxy uterus.

Taking peppermint capsules after speaking to the senior ward nurse. If I don't fart soon I might explode.

Hope your feeling better now. I had endometrial ablation in October and needed 2 weeks off work to recover. It left me floored and super weak & drained. First period after I thought my stomach might explode.

All been good since though with periods only lasting 7 days instead of 16 days and no more flooding. But this past month was horrendous and (TMI) all clotty again. I hate having a uterus too, I just want them to stop

Thanks for replying, and sorry things are bad again. It's bloody miserable Sad

I made it to work but was a bit rubbish. Have an 11 hour shift tomorrow which feels like a mountain to climb. The bloating and wind pain has gone, but the cramps are something else. Losing a pale discharge and what I assume is beige lining tissue (sorry). Thing is I, er, smell. It's not the normal odour, but I don't have a temp or anything and I suppose some smell is to be expected?

I don't remember a smell but I had a pale yucky discharge for about a month, maybe longer. Hope you are feeling better now
