Using surgical glue on stitches

My episotimy stitches have come undone after an infection.
I'm scared the wound won't heal properly now. I'm worried they won't restitch.
I'm tempted to buy some surgical glue on the internet once the infection has passed.
Has anyone tried this?

Have you gone to the doctors, regarding the infection as well?
I really wouldn't wanna glue myself together, especially there. My stitches came apart. If you want it re-done, then you have to push for it (I don't see why you have to push, it's not fair living with it!) It could take various docs appts for one to even offer a referral but you'll get it eventually.

Yes I've been but I will have to go back for my abs. Wish I'd had a csection now.. Might actually be recovering now!

I thought the same, but at the time there was no way I'd even consider a c-section, I didn't think I'd ever have a problem or episiotomy, I was prepared to tear but not that! Both my sister's had 7 easy births between them, no stitches, so thought I'd be fine, but... I had the one birth and everything went wrong.

If it's causing you psychological distress then there's no way that you wont be able to get it re-done, if that's what you want.

How is the infection now?

Do not glue!! The infection needs to find its way out. They won't restitch the wound but you should speak to your gp asap
