When DS1 was v small my neighbour recommended some essential oils to help him sleep. Think she could hear him through the walls . Didn't help DS, but has worked a treat for DH and me, until now. We have run out of the stuff

It was geranium oil and something else. 2 parts of one to one of the other. For a baby it is a couple of drops in half a pint of hot water near but not under the cot. For grown ups it works in the bath.

Sorry to be so vague. Any clues?

lavender? That's often used to help sleep.

also marjoram, sandlewood and rose can help.

IS it any of these?

We use this mix as an alternative to lavender for a change

doesn't sound like the others. do you think it would be eucalytpus?

can't ask the neighbour easily as we have moved... will put a note in her Christmas card if I have been really too ditzy for anyone here to help!

Pretty sure it would have been lavender.. Lavender and chamomile are the more 'safer' aromatherapy oils recommended for babies... if not lavender, have you tried chamomile??
Try a little of both??
