anaemia and migraines

Has anyone else found that anaemia or low-iron has led to an increase in migraines? I'm definitely anaemic, very low hb and iron stores, which is about to be treated.

But I'm also having migraines, particularly with aura, every couple of days which is unusual for me. I haven't had them this often since I was pregnant or just after I'd had my baby, when hormones were settling down.

I'm most definitely not pregnant now so wondering if it's just down to the anaemia. Just trying to unravel what is causing what!

also been having way more migraines than usual-weather?

thanks for the reply - sorry that you're suffering too! It could be the weather I suppose - that does make a difference to me too, just not usually this much of a difference.

Not sure about impact of anaemia or weather, but I don't suppose u could be overdoing the painkillers? My dd struggled with migraines getting closer and closer together and ended up with near permanent headache which was diagnosed as medication overuse headache - and these were prescribed meds. After nasty withdrawal with medical support she's now only getting migraine every few months again.

Good luck.
