What is this nodule on my thigh?

Hi. Will go to the GP but just wondered if anyone has something like this. It's been there 4 or 5 months and isn't sore or itchy but is like a little raised bump. It's quite small, about 6mm but I've just started to wonder if it's anything to worry about.

I have one exactly like this on my arm for the past decades at this stage. GP had a name for it, but basically mine was harmless where there may have been a small spot or scar and the body builds up a little protein case over it. It goes a bit red around the edges if I'm hot etc but that's about it.

Thanks for the reply. I saw a picture of a dermatofibroma that looked similar but this is meant to dimple when squeezed at the sides and mine doesn't do that! Will see what the GP says.
