Poor thing has been coughing all night temp ranging from 38 to 39. Was ok in the day yesterday seems to be at night, also she has a party this afternoon that shes been looking forward to for weeks should I let her go or is that mad she'll be so upset if she misses it,

my son had croup at 11 weeks and had to have steroid injections from a&e however the doctor said that it was proberbly a one off as there are 2 types yours sounds like the other type! Steam inhalations and cold weather help, wrap your daughter up and take her outside or open a window and let her breath in the air. The best way to see if it is really bad is lift up their vest and see how much the chest sinks in when they breath if it goes really in then its a sign they are fighting for breath so can be more serious it usually passes after a few days.

Wet towels on radiator will help but don't be afraid to ring out of hours GP if she is really struggling to breath at night.
