Twice in the last couple of months I have had a large amount of blood in my urine which has lasted for a couple of days each time. I have been referred for a kidney scan which is booked in for the beginning of September.
I have had samples sent off which show large amounts of red and white blood cells present however no infection.
As an aside I have also had lower backache on and off for the last few weeks which may or may not be connected. I have had another test done today and I will get the results next week. I am worried about what the cause could be given there is no infection and I am now scaring myself with thinking about things like I drink too much wine (about 3 bottles a week) etc and whether this could be a cause.
Anyone have any experience of this or know what might be the cause?
