My GP has referred me to Gastroenterology because my serum ferritin levels have been undetectable since March despite 600mg of ferrous sulphate daily since then. I don't have any Gastro symptoms so I was wondering what the likely outcome of the referral is? I'm 34 and in good health apart from depression/anxiety which is ramping up with the thought of possible endoscopies/colonoscopies.
