Babies and teeth - growing out of sink (I know that isn't how you spell it!)

Hi everyone. My nine-month-old son has two bottom teeth and has just sproated a tooth on the top which is to the side of the where the two front teeth would be. I thought that the two front teeth came after the two bottom. Is this normal? My other son grew his teeth in the usual order, albeit quite early, as expected. Will my second son's two front teeth appear at some point or should I be worried about their non-appearance? Has anyone else experienced teeth growing out of order? Any advice most welcome!

my DD got her two bottom front teeth then her two top side teeth and her two top middle teeth came after. This is just cross cutting and is normal! Tip!!! when the middle teeth are coming through my DDs gums really swelled up due to the pressure from the outer 2!! Pharmacist told me to use medised and nurofen to help with the pain as she started waking loads in night and was really bunged up in her nose and eyes!!

Totally normal and pretty common. Good tip from bonkerz too.

Thanks everyone! I feel much reassured. I'd just never seen this before. Thanks for the tip too! I'll remember that when the time comes. He does look quite sweet when he smiles with his one side tooth!
