Will they still operate if ds has a cold/cough?

Ds is booked into hospital on Tuesday to have his tonsils and adenoids removed, He has has a mild cold for a few days but has woken with a rather nasty cough this morning.Do you think they will still be able to operate? We have been waiting ages for this appointment so hopefully they will still be able to do it, but obviousley if it puts ds in any danger then i dont want it done.

they will make a judgement call

when dd had her op, they sent away one child with a cough (but it was a particularly nasty one!)

he may well be better by Tuesday - why don't you phone and ask and see what they say?

I woudn't risk it tbh and I think they would be reluctant to if ds has any cold/infection.

I know its an added risk with the anasethic(sp) and to be honest im already petrified about him having the op anyway, his cough isnt terrible like a really racking cough iyswim but i think i will wait and see how he is over the weekend and give them a ring on Monday.
