Lap & Dye and outrageous period pain

OMG!
Had a diagnostic Lap & Dye two weeks ago and last night woke with the worst af pains I have ever had. I was unable to lie or sit still for 2 hours despite strong pain killers.
Thought I was going to faint and/or be sick. Anyone any experience of this?

yes...were you pumped up with gas, if so it is most likely that the fallopian tube/s twisted in the process and now you are ovulating and the egg pushes out the kink causing a lot of pain in the process

i had this has the pain gone?

Thanks Zippitippitoes

It was definitely period pain rather than an ovulation. Pain was not as bad but lingered for two days. I'm pretty much back to normal now but am wondering if I should expect this level of pain each period.

why did you have the investigation? apart from the scenario I suggested i don't think you should get any pains resulting from it

the pain I described woulkd just be a one off as the egg passing through straightens out the twist though you might get it again on the other side once.

I have been ttc for 2.5 yrs and had a suspected Hydrosalpinx - though the lap & dye found no problem (so guess I have unexplained fertility problems now... apart from 7-9 day luteal phase which my consultant doesn't consider an issue)

I'm afraid i don't know anything about that
