Mild hives after bee sting?

Last week I got stung on my foot by a bee (I trod on it). The next day I had a little local itching and then noticed what looked like insect bites on my arm and back. There were a couple of big individual "bites" and then three patches with 3-4 bites each.

I COULD have been bitten by a mozzie, but it's unlikely as I haven't been at any other time and no one else was.

I have self-diagnosed a mild case of hives, but do you think that sounds like hives? And if I had a mild, delayed reaction to a sting is it likely I'll get a severe reaction if I'm stung again? Keep thinking I should see the GP but it's hard to get an appointment and I don't want to waste their time.

I would go to the GP. If this is the first time you have been stung by a bee and you've had a reaction, the indicators are that it may be worse next time. They can do a blood test to assess this. You are also at a higher risk if you have excema, asthma and other allergic reactions.
Did you have any swelling, tingling feelings?
Do you have any allergies?
