Can anyone recommend a toothpaste for mouth ulcers?

I have heard toothpaste without SLS is a good one to try but must have fluoride in.

thank you

Aloedent. They do a fluoride and a fluoride free one, both sls free. Sell in Waitrose and boots i think

Sensodyne is generally sls free.

Please don't use fluoride free unless you understand that you will get holes in your teeth!!!

Your dentist can prescribe you sls free toothpaste, duraphat. It's made by Colgate.

Sorry it's the 'jasons' one that's sls free. I think one type of pronamel also

It's worth knowing that long-term issues with mouth ulcers can be an indicator of coeliac disease.

Mrsmorton · 26/07/2015 19:45

Yy red in fact anything that affects your digestive tract can manifest in your mouth. It's just one long tube!!

Thanks all. I have had them constantly since I was three and am now 41. I have tried everything and seen both the doctor and dentist about them.

I have learnt to accept and live with them over the years but now my 8 year old daughter is getting them so back trying to find anything to help.

I think I would have other symptoms for coeliac disease?

I know I have low blood pressure? But no other health issues that I know of other than rosacea.

Thanks all xx

Pronamel.

It's perfectly possible to coeliac with just ulcers or migraines as symptoms and the NICE guidelines recommend a test for long-term ulcers.

I just had ulcers, silent migraines and poor iron (then low calcium too). I feel so much better since diagnosis and the relief from ulcers alone is wonderful ....

Worth checking I think.

I use Kingfisher brand with fluoride.
