Can eyedrops cause a bad taste in mouth?

Just taken one eye drop for conjunctivitis, and now have a really horrible taste in the back of my mouth, which is causing me to keep swilling my mouth with water, any ideas as to why this has happened??

Because your eyes drain into your sinuses, and your sinuses drain into the back of your throat.

(If you are BF, breastmilk sorts it out very well, and doesn't taste bad, or hurt when you put it in your eye.)

Yep, you can normally taste them, the sinus cavity drains into your throat which is why you can taste them
