Soothing sunburn

WanderWomble · 18/07/2015 14:28

I've burned on my shoulders/back of neck and it's really blood sore. Any tips on how to soothe it? I've been using aftersun but it only helps for a short time.

(I slathered sunblock everywhere else but thought my top would protect me there. Apparently not!)

Buy Soleve from your pharmacy. I got it from Superdrug pharmacist.
Cooling moisturiser combined with topical ibuprofen, does the job!

I can't take ibuprofen or that would be perfect!

Cool shower - it's just like any other burn, then after sun, paracetamol as you can't take ibuprofen and avoid tight clothing and obviously cover up next time

I'm sat with a cold soaked tea towel over my shoulder right now. It feels so good!
