Lump on side of neck...

I have a large painful lump onthe left side of my neck. have been to GP who has prescribed me co-amoxiclav and told me that I need to give up breastfeeding for a week. dd9+months and really don't want to stop feeding her. as I struggled for 4 1/2 months to get b/fding established inthe first place. Have been feeling rotten for about a week now.

What are the side effects of co-amoxiclav if you bf dd? Wouldn't be worth harming her.
She may well go back to bf if you only stop for a short time - but keep expressing the milk and discard it, otherwise your supply will diminish quite a bit in a week.
