HELP!! 4MNTH DS BREAKING OUT IN WIERD RASH!!

in the last 10 mins, his face has become all bumpy he keeps scratchin!! he is not on solids!!
i dont know what to do!!

he has a slight cold, he was fine all morning, he just had a bottle

Have you got an itchy type jumper on you know like mohair or something could he have got a contact rash from something like this?

no it cant be anything im wearing

Has he got a temperature? Is he having any difficulty breathing?

it looks like an allergic reaction, but it looks like its calming down slightly

Was there anything differnet about the milk that he's just had?

If it is an allergic reaction, then I think you should speak to a doctor asap.

Does it go away and come back? It could be hives. My ds had this, it would disappear and reapper. The doctor said it was either viral or an allergic reaction.

now that i think about it, i was eating omlette earlier on and a bit dropped on him when he was on my lap

could that be it?

It may be the egg my dd used to be allergic to egg and reacted with hives when she ate it but if he's reacted to it from just touching it that sounds like quite a severe allergy.

That could be it - is there a history of allergies in your family? I think you need to get him checked by a doctor - allergic reactions can potentially be very serious - what have NHS direct said?

thankyou everyone again for your help
called nhs direct and they told me to take him to a&e. he is much better, his face is still slightly swollen.
dp said that he did try and get ds to taste his ommlette but only really touched his lip.

waited in there for over two hours to be advised watch what you give him!!

hope that never happens again!

its how quickly his face started swelling that freaked me out and i was phoning round to people for advise and no one picked up!!
