Depo-Provera... is it really "unavailable worldwide"?

... as this is what I have been told by my local surgery today, by letter. Haven't had an opportunity to discuss this with them yet but can't see anything online to support this. Can see it was unavailable earlier in the year but nothing to say that is the case right now. Thank you

I work in community pharmacy, we've been ordering and receiving supplies of this without a problem.

We've certainly not heard that there's going to be another shortage any time soon

Thank you. I do find it bit strange, that I can find no evidence online to back up what the letter says. Going to discuss it with the pharmacy tomorrow. Can I just ask whereabouts in the UK you are?

There have been national supply problems about a month ago, but I thought it had been resolved. You could try local chemists and if they have some ask the surgery for a prescription.

I picked up my Depo from the chemist on Friday, am in SE London. Only ordered the script on Wednesday so no delays.
