i feel like i am being a right cow to dh

he has just got out of bed. i have been trying to get him up since around 9am, as i wanted to pop to the shops and have a walk with the dd's. spend some time as a family. we have a carer in in 2 hours, and i will be taking the girls to get their hair cut. so he will spend 2 houras with them now, and about 2 hours once we get back.

i am utterly pissed off with his 'i cant do anything so i wont' attitude but also am sympathic with the situiation. I am just fed up of not being able to just go out with him in tow as well. if there isnt a carer in then we all have to go out.

he can get up earlier, as he does during the week when the carer gets here at 8am. he just seems very selfish and self centred atm, (cant really blame him) and not thinking of how this is having an affect on all of us.

and ifeel like A BITCH TO EVEN BE TYPING THIS.

Nothing to constructive to say other than ((hugs)). You're not a bitch, you're just letting off steam and we all need to do that from time to time, especially with the pressures you are under.

Enjoy the haircuts (if enjoy is the right word) and come back with a smile on your face, then those 2 hours this afternoon will be lovely, and tomorrow is another day.

you and the girls are suffering too misdee, theres nothing wrong in addmitting that and wishing he could realise it too.

misdee, you are not a bitch. we all coem on here to moan about our partners. just because peter is sick doesn't make him a saint!!! As you know only too well, being so ill for so long can make people very self centered. and its the family who have to put up with it

hey if you think its bad now, wait til he gets his transplant!! Every time you moan about him some pollyanna will say " oh well as least he is well now and that's all that matters!!"

oh yes, we shall be neternally grateful, even if he is a pain in the butt!

oh and i know if mention this to his family all i will get is 'he is very ill you know misdee'.

Oh Mistdee...a really big hug to you. Why does nobody ever seem to realise that you also have to live with your spouse's illness too?

You are not bein a bitch. You are allowed to get fed up with your situation, you are only human. MN is a fab place to come and vent your spleen/ask for help and get the positive feedback you need at times like this. Hell I think you have helped me in the past so the least I can do is return the favour.
