Over the past couple of months I have been having slight cramp and 'twinges' all the time. I can feel pressure at the lower end of my tubes and a general heaviness as if my period is about to start.

Period still arriving but not exactly the same as 'normal'. A little lighter and slightly heavier on the last day. (Usual was heavy all the time).

Is this OK?

Sorry MTA, no advice but nice to see your name again

MoreTeaAnyone · 18/11/2006 09:23

Thanks Miaou.
I had been deliberately staying away for a while but I needed some help about this. I posted yesterday about the day from hell and...well you know what it's like...addictive!

any hormonal contraception....not approaching the age of no more periods?

MoreTeaAnyone · 18/11/2006 09:55

I'm 31 next week. However my gran went through the change in her 30's. I have already been to the doctor at the beginning of the year to get that checked because I was worried about menopause because of very light periods. The test said negative for menopause then.

Is it definitely connected with your ovaries etc.? I had cramps and twinges for a year after dd was born. It turned out to be irritable bowel, based mainly in the very last part of the bowel, which is very near the left ovary. I was even investigated for pelvic infection.

Worth investigating?

MoreTeaAnyone · 18/11/2006 10:32

Maybe worth a shot.

My main feeling is that my period is about to start, I get this feeling just about every day and run to the toilet to check I haven't started. It's really annoying. The bloating is a pain as well.

Bloating could definitely be a sign of IBS.
