Why is my 8 week old dd not gaining much weight?

My dd was born weighing 7lbs 10 1/2oz and dropped to 7lbs1 in the first week. She's now 8 weeks old and is falling off the bottom of the weight chart at only 8lbs 3oz. She was exclusivly breast fed until yesterday when a combination of PND and exhaustion has made me reach for the bottle. HV is monitoring her closely and has said she is a 'cause for concern'.
Any ideas as to why she isn't gaining weight and how to help her put more on would be greatly appreciated, could it be my milk supply? She is painfully thin and a nightmare to keep warm, I can feel her ribs through 3 layers of clothes and, as all new mothers do, I am becoming increasingly worried.

I am no expert, but could you just curl up with her for a day or two and feed as much as you can? Doing sod-all else (if you have a partner, let him do any jobs that need doing while you just concentrate on baby.) Snuggling up together, skin to skin, encourages them to feed more. HV should actually be giving you helpful advice rather than just saying it's a cause for concern.

FWIW weight loss in first week is entirely normal.

i think they simpky plateau a bit at this point.
ds2 is 9 weeks and has slowed a tad.

I'm getting wet nappies but only getting dirty ones every 4-5 days. Dr put her on lactulose but to no effect so she say's that is just her cycle.
