I was running late this morning and scraped half my gum off with my toothbrush

owwwwww! My alarm didn't go off and for the first time ever dds never woke up early . We were rushing around like lunatics. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and ended up dragging the plastic part of the toothbrush right along my bottom gum.
It bloody hurts tonight
Off to pour myself a nice long numbing vodka to ease the pain. Well, it is for medicinal purposes after all

I sneezed earlier and bit my tongue!

Teaspoon of salt in a cup of boiling water, allow o cool slightly hen swill around that area. (do this 3 or 4 times a day). It tastes fol but works.

sorry tortoise - or tort-oish whatever your name is at the moment - I found the thought of you biting your tongue really amusing - guess I wasn't expecting it

I usually manage to blame it on the cat/dog /kids or who ever is present at the time!

or do what dh does in the supermarket - quietly break wind and walk off without me noticing leaving revolting pong behind. I'm afraid to move in case it looks really obvious that I may be the guilty person and find dh down the opposite end of the aisle phsl!

cor blimey - that's really painful. I did the same a few weeks back and I had a inch long 'ulcer' along the bottom of my gum. Took ages to heal and was really painful. In the end I put salt on it and in a few days it was gone.
