I have found a small lump about the size of a small pea, its hard and just under the skin below my right nipple. I have just started breastfeeding a week ago. Could it be a duct or something realted to that or something more sinister? Im crapping myself now that i have something nasty. Any experience anyone wants to share that could make me relax a little.

I will get it checked whatever just want to put my mind at rest a little.

Sounds like a blocked duct. Give it a massage next time you feed from that side. I often get them. Try not to worry...

Don't panic Charlee. It is very likely to be a blocked duct. My boobs wre v.lumpy and bumpy when breastfeeding. Try massaging the area gently in a warm bath and see if the lump disappears. You are right about getting it checked though, even if it's only to put your mind at rest.

Sounds like a blocked duct. Try bf in different positions, it should go away quite quickly.
