Why does my pee smell weird?

It smells different - slightly stronger, faint hint of something that reminds me of Germolene. No current health probs, no dietary changes, not pregnant. Any ideas?

What have you had to eat or drink?

My wee smells funny if I have a urine infection/ UTI.

Drink more water and keep an eye on it.

The thing in asparagus is mercaptans. It's what they put in gas so you can smell it.

And sugar puffs. They make my wee smell odd too!

The first sign of pregnancy in each of my three pregnancies, before I got a positive pregnancy test, was a change in the smell of my wee.

I think I must have magic wee or a super-sensing nose. Either way, it's probably my only special talent :)

I get asparagus wee, coffee wee and onion wee!

Ooh and yes, a change in the smell of my wee and, er, discharge was the first indicator of pregnancy for me too. Kind of a mixture of iron and garlic?

I think it was MN that alerted me to the fact that sugar puff smelling wee didn't mean I had diabetes - but only that I had been drinking coffee.

I think its more noticeable because I only have one cup of coffee a day .

spot on fillyjonk. But lots of my friends I've mentioned this to have looked at me like I'm mad when I mentioned pregnancy wee so I'm glad I'm not alone.

I get coffee wee too. DH doesn't (but we both get asparagus wee)
