Dental implant cost

I've just had a quote for a dental implant £2500 plus £500 to take the tooth out that needs replacing a a temporary plate... I think it is a little on the high side, but not sure, has anyone else had one done recently and how much did you pay?

My Dad is paying £5000 for two

I'm paying £1900 for mine including the extraction. There are three kinds of implant and this is the mid range one. It's a back molar (6).

I think mine was about £2200. It is amazing and I love my dentist.
