Pain 4 weeks after vasectomy

Like it says in the title. DH had vasectomy 4 weeks ago and still getting pain - sometimes one side, sometimes both. He has obviously convinced himself this is it and he's going to have chronic pain now forever. He said they had more difficulty with one side and it is this one which seems to be the worst. Does anyone have any experience of this??

There are various threads in the "Family Planning" topic

There is still a good change, at 4 weeks, that this is not PVPS (which is essentially untreatable) but one of the other complications.

He needs to go back to the vasectomy provider or to his GP, as he has had pain beyond 2 weeks, and see if they can find a cause.

It's a bit early for PVPS but he must go back to the docs. They will probably send him away. Make sure the wound has healed.

I had pain immediately after and have had since 2012. Not improved and taken all sorts of meds and had further surgery. If it continues for a few months then it's not good news.

Get to the GP.
