ok

anyway after being pregnant a few times I have the missfortune to be the owner/wearer of a set of piles.

I have never seen these piles but am well aware of their exsistance through painful number two-ing.

never seen them that is, untill the other day, when my dh wouldn't give me any privacy on the loo. a bit of clenching, shouting and lots of panic later- one of the little beasties popped its ugly head out and decided to stay.

I can't believe the pain or the shame.

please give me your best pile advice. Do I need to get rid of it? if so how?

oh it HURTS.

have you tried to push it back in?

AttilaTheMeerkat · 14/11/2006 14:34

Its not shameful to have piles. They are more a nuisance than anything else.

Please see your GP re this problem. They won't be embarrassed and they will have seen it all before now.

Anusol and the like may be of some help but think you may have to get help from the GP too.

changerforthosewhoknowmyface · 14/11/2006 14:35

yes but it pops straight back out again.

yes, to the GP I'm afraid if it is really bothering you

I would keep shoving it back in (in the shower/bath) and up your fibre and water intake because the worst thing is to strain

MegaLegs · 14/11/2006 14:39

I had a shocking case after ds3. MW gave me wd40 and they healed very quickly. You can try pushing them back in the bath.

changerforthosewhoknowmyface · 14/11/2006 14:42

what is the treatment fox?

OP posts:
Sugarfree · 14/11/2006 14:44

wd40??Is that not the stuff for unsticking bolts and locks and things?

foxinsocks · 14/11/2006 14:46

here you are

just skip to the treatment bit at the bottom

generally, they will just offer you stronger creams (with hydrocortisone in to reduce the swelling and other stuff)

should also mention (having read that link) that when mine were looked at (didn't ask for it! they just had a peep when they did a smear), I never had a full-on anal examination like they suggest on that site (in case it puts you off going to the doctor!)

foxinsocks · 14/11/2006 14:47

but really, up your fruit & veg, fibre, water - it does make a difference. I hardly get them at all now.

Lio · 14/11/2006 14:53

And if the normal chemist stuff doesn't work and you are feeling flush, this will.

There is also one for if you are pg or b/f. Smells divine and WORKS.

moondog · 14/11/2006 14:54

WD40?????!!

Fucking hell-it would kill ya!

foxinsocks · 14/11/2006 15:01

should have said up your intake of rather than up your before someone gets the wrong idea and takes the pissss

changerforthosewhoknowmyface · 14/11/2006 15:04

thankyou very much, I'm going to town now to pick some more lotions and potions.
the more I talk about it the more it HURTS!

boohoo.

OP posts:
moondog · 14/11/2006 15:06

DON'T PICK UP ANY WD40!!!!

MegaLegs · 14/11/2006 15:38

I meant preperation H. Where the heck did I get WD40 from? I posted and went off to get the dcs. Hope nobody tried it! Sorry - Do not, I repeat do not put WD40 on your piles.

Arf!! WD40...well, I've tried everything else under the sun...

Proctosedyl supps are the best I've tried, but they have to be had on prescription...my GP took my word for it, did'nt even look

changerforthosewhoknowmyface · 14/11/2006 18:53

ok will make an appointment tomorrow. with the nurse. I couldn't possibly go to my handsome gp, I would DIE.

hopefully she won't want to see mine either.
It's not like someone would make that kind of thing up is it?

I can't get over how many parts of the female body are affected by pregnancy!
