Fertility may be decreased. Mine was - fertility treatment didn't work for me, but ds arrived of his own accord a while later.
My periods were few and far between for years before I went on the pill, but then were standard. Less painful too, before were horrendous, and I would be sent home from school several times a year.
The right pill should help sort out any other related problems as well. My skin improved. Other people see a positive difference to their hirsuteness.
One unexpected side-effect of the Dianette was yhat, it changed my figure, bust size and hip size increased. When I mentioned this to my consultant, she said that was quite normal.
I was told that once I was on Dianette it would stop the ovaries getting any worse. Don't know of it leading to other problems, entero etc.
For the future, one thing I was told by my consultant was to stay on the Dianette the until I wanted children, then to go back to her, and she would start me on fertility treatment without the standard wait. As it was I had moved by then, but went to my doctor, came off the pill and she started us in the fertility system.
