Could I have a stomach ulcer?

I have routine blood tests for another condition and my haemoglobin was low. GP was concerned as I have been on NSAIDs for many years and queried a stomach ulcer. However, I'm on the maximum daily dose of omeprazole, so surely that would protect me or treat an ulcer if one did develop?

Any thoughts please.

Do you have any stomach ulcer symptoms? They fucking hurt.

Omeprazole is usually pretty damn good at protecting your stomach. It's not failsafe, but it's pretty good. With no symptoms though, I think you're probably clear.

Yes, I have some pain in my upper abdomen but assumed it was muscle pain. My GP said that ulcers can occasionally be painless. I am not convinced though, to be honest.

I did agree to drop dose of NSAID for a while while they await more blood results.
