DH came said that he heard on the radio that there has been a study which says that if you have sugar in your tea you are 73% more likely to develop pancreas cancer!!! Does anyone know the full story surrounding this?

Never heard that! Will watch with interst though. Just can't think why just when in tea!

Here . It's not just about tea, it's about how much sugar you consume, overall. Drinking lots of fizzy drinks is worse than drinking tea with sugar (shocker).

This is another link but would say that smoking is a risk factor in developing this type of cancer.

Yes and now we're not supposed to put plastic containers or cling film in the microwave either - apparently the high temps cause them to leak toxins into our food! Not really joking about it just wondering what on earth we are still allowed to do.

Sugar in tea = yuck anyhow.

The radio station made it sound as if it was sugar in tea alone... poor journalism! Although it is food for thought!! I am going to switch to honey in my tea I think!
