I know there have been wuite a few threads on this but I can't find anything on where the rash starts. My 4yr old daughter started with a high temperature and sore throat on Friday. Saturday morning a rash appeared, little red raised spots, starting on her legs (especally the flexions) and bottom and spreading upwards to her torso (not meningitus). None on face but has been flushed at times. Vomitting too. White tongue. Has anyone had experience of a similar type rash please? Thanks

Hi yes my ds had Scarlet fever middle of the year sounds very similar. The rash is very raised tiny spots makes the skin feel quite rough. They usually have one or both swollean glands behind the ears, white coating on tongue which will then peel off and leave the "strawberry tongue" effect.

Take her to gp's asap as she needs to get on anti-biotics and they have to report it to health authority apparently.

if in doubt check out NHS website and look up Scarlet fever in their a-z encyclopedia bit.
