What is this hideousness? Is it doing the rounds?

Feel like I'm walking in jelly, sore throat and weak as a kitten. Is there a 'thing' going round and has anyone else had it?
Symptoms are feelig the cold, swollen neck, sore ear and weird cotton woolly feeling in head.

I don't know what you have but my DSis had something similar recently and has just been told it was glandular fever. She thought it was a flu type bug. I thought this was that something teens get! Clearly neither of us is medical.
