Colonoscopy prep meds-help

I have my appointment tomorrow so have the joy of drinking this awful stuff today! I have managed 3/4 mouthfuls and have gagged over every single one. How am I meant to drink a full 2L over the course of the day?!

Hold your nose and down it? Sorry I can't really help, but it might help you to remember that if you manage to take it all, the colonoscopy will be successful. If you don't, they may not get round and you'll have to do it again. (Thats meant to be positive encouragement, not scare-mongering!) good luck.

Yup, nip your nose and down it. It's bloody horrible stuff.

Thanks, I've asked DH to bring me home some straws and Im trying to gulp, bleurgh. I genuinely thought I had quite a strong stomach but this stuff is testing me! I was determined to only have to do this once, even more determined now.
I will drink, and keep, this stuff down!

Try mixing with fresh lemon or lime juice - cuts the sweetness. Advice probably too late for you. Good luck with the procedure - drinking the Moviprep was by far the worst part!

I'm on round two, first glass, glutting it back with the help of a straw and a water chaser. It hasn't got any better but it's working
Even the starvation isn't as bad as this stuff!
