!st period after C/S, bleeding for 11 days and i am flooding off my feet :(

I have got my 1st period since my section (3 mths ago) and i am flooding off my feet been bleeding heavily for 10 days now and feel awful, going through about 10 night time towels a day and i am starting to get a little worried as it isn't easing off at all,also this is a bit TMI but it doesn't seem like "normal" period blood seems very red, any one have any experience of this?

no ..but go to docs....flooding like that needs checking out! you could well end up anaemic...please try and get to docs today! 10 days is long time...or cal lNHS dirrect

I'm no doc, but this certainly didn't happen to me after either of my section. Deffo call NHS direct and ask their advice.

This did happen to me. Went to docs and he gave me antibiotics and sent me to hospital for a scan. They decided that something had been left inside me after the C-section. Bleeding eventually stopped, had another scan and more antibiotics and the hospital said whatever it was had gone! Go and see you GP ASAP.
