Is this conjunctivitis? Photo attached

My eye has been a bit swollen all weekend and a bit red. I've been taking antihistamines as I assumed it was an allergy although it's not at all itchy.

Today it's much redder and a bit more swollen and I'm wondering if it's conjunctivitis but there's no discharge at all.

Do you think I need to see someone or if I just leave it will it go away?!
The kids have had conjunctivitis before and I buy chloramphenicol but they've always had discharge

I would see someone as soon as you can like an optician about your eye; you need to know what is causing this (and its not likely to go away without some form of treatment).

Use eye cleaning wipes and wipe your eye from the bridge of your nose outwards.

I had a horrible bout of conjunctivitus for over a month, it was viral and no discharge just maddeningly itchy. It went away eventually but you need to go to an optician .

Thank you both! I just popped in to the optician and she said she reckons it's viral conjunctivitis and I have some eye drops. hopefully it clears quite soon so that I can wear make up to work tomorrow and stop scaring people
