Hello all
Long time no see. I miss Mumsnet but am constantly running round like a blue arsed fly with 3 now!
Anyway, ds is now overdue his baby jabs. I got dd2 done privately and seperated them out a bit. I have got my head around maybe giving ds the 5 in 1 (as the alternative of the Private company fills me with dread they are so crap)
I've been looking into it but as soon as i googled it i found this sad!! and it has made me terrified now!
So, any info or experiences welcome.I HATE HATE HATE thos part of babyhood! Worries me sick. I was intending to give the 5 in 1 one time then the others at a later appointment so as to space them but this has put me right off!

Hi

Have had a quick look through your link. It would appear that 'zeus info' whoever they are , are anti vaccine anyway. They state they are an alternative health service, they use quotes from people well known to be anti vax, while this is not necessarily wrong it is very unbalanced.
Where are the references for these figures they quote?, whilst vaccines will undoubtedly cause reactions in some children we aren't actually told what scale they are measured on.
Be careful when reading things such as this.
To me this is blatant anti vax propoganda.

BTW what vax did the private clinic offer as their alternative?

DD2 had the Infanrix DTaP (as did dd1) and seperate polio and hib later with Men.C.

Babies are now given pneumococcal vaccine aswell as the ones your dds had.
Does the company still offer the same vax then as Infarix is discontinued in UK now?
Personally I would always vaccinate, i understand that is taking a risk with my kids but to me the risk of not vaccinating them is much more scary!

The most i could get now i think is the 4 in 1 that is also used as a booster and then the Hib at a later date. I know about the new jab too.
I will vaccinate but i just don't like the risks they take with all these new drugs trials on our babies effectively!

Any more views or info??
