Hi, I had my gallbladder out 7 years ago as an emergency. I am healthy, eat more or less what I like; and am sooooo pleased never to have the terrible pain and felling very unwell.

If you are nervous, please speak to someone at the hospital, they will reassure you.

Thank you for your reply.

I think I'm more nervous about being put to sleep then the actually op itself!! I am going to ask if they can give me something to relax me before I go down! Xx

Hi

I had mine removed last saturday - I was a bit nervous but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I had my op at 10am and was home by 6pm! Any questions please ask away Grin

I had mine out 2.5 years ago just 6 weeks after a c section with my twins.

It really was fine, more uncomfortable than painful. I loved the whole experience, I got to have some precious sleep! I had mine out at 9am and slept right through until 6pm, even the nurses commented on my mamouth sleep! I was discharged at 8pm that same evening and resumed night feeds with my newborn twins.

I am so glad I had it out.

Thanks for your reply guys! I've spoke to hospital today and I've got to arrive at the hospital at 1pm and they will let me know what time my op is from there! I've told them how I hate hospitals and I don't want to have to stay overnight and they said I am down for a day procedure! Thanks again for all your replies xx
