Is there a hard bit under your boob?

Just having a check and underneath my right breast in the centre of my chest there seems to be a hard area sort of where it joins the rest of my body. I'm not sure whether this is just my chest and I can feel it more now as my boobs gradually sag and deflate Sad or whether it's something I should be concerned about. This breast has been very itchy and feeling a bit bruised which was why I was checking it. The other one doesn't seem to have this. Can anyone else feel this or do I need to get it checked out? Don't want to look an idiot at the doctors.

Thank you!

Get thee to the doctors - it's most likely nothing to worry about and it'll put your mind at rest. You will absolutely not be wasting their time !

No idea. But if one boob feels different to the other, both in what you can feel externally (ie the hard bit) and in what you can feel internally (ie the discomfort) then it's definitely something to show the doctor.

GP would rather you show them something that they can say is perfectly fine and normal!

DH has had a bit of a feel too and says he thinks it probably is just my chest but can't be sure so I'll get it checked.

Thanks both Flowers

Prepperpig, I have had this and I green with others to yes,mdo get it checked for peace of mind. However, I went along to the breast clinic on a non urgent referral which I was happy with. The consultant examined me and immediately said this is not an area you ever see breast cancers. He still had me mammogram meds and an ultrasound and it was all clear. In my case it was slightly tender though that might have been because I kept prodding at it Smile.

I can still feel it slightly. After confirming it was nothing nasty he said it was probably slight inflammation of the rib. Not sure if I go along with that but anyway it was just one of those things. As I type I am wondering if under wired bras might be responsible for additional pressure but who knows? Smile
