Freaking out over glaucoma

Around 9 months ago at a routine eye test my ocular pressure was high so the optician asked me to come back 3 weeks later to look at it again. It was still apparently on the high side but my visual field test was fine and my optic nerve looked fine so she asked me to return 6 months later which I did, only to find no change. So she said she could refer me to an opthamologist and I had the appointment a few day ago....as it turns out the pressure in both my eyes is 23 and apparently the shape of my eyes means that the iris drops off sharply meaning it could potentially get blocked or something along those lines. My visual test was fine and he said I showed no sign of glaucoma but the pressure and the shape of my eyes made me a glaucoma suspect and I would need to come back in 6 months to keep being monitored as I was at risk of developing it. When I asked him about possible treatment he mentioned both drops but also laser eye surgery but nothing for the moment. I was pretty calm at the time but since I got home and stupidly started googling for more information I have totally freaked myself out...it would appear that I am at risk of closed angle glaucoma (because of the shape of my eye and how he described it) and this sort of glaucoma starts very suddenly and unless treated immediately can result in drastic and immediate vision loss!!! So know I am freaking out that I could get this at any point...I'm so stressed and also keep thinking my eyes (or one in particular) is really sore!...I know I sound like a fruitcake but I don't think I can go on for another 6 months waiting to wake up blind....is there anyone out there who knows something about this put my mind at rest?!
