Lupus and sunlight

I was diagnosed last year, my symptoms are pretty well under control on plaquinel now most of the time. This spring I'm finding if I've been outside a lot the day before im exhausted and have slight joint pain the next day and for a few days or week after.

Yesterday I pottered outside with ds and today I'm exhausted, that enveloping type of exhaustion you get, and my knuckles and feet hurt. Is that how a flare up caused by the sun might happen or is it more likely to be a case that I've used all my 'spoons' as it called by being out and slightly active?

Anyone experienced this, I'd love to hear others experiences

I don't have lupus (although know a fair amount about it as it was a possibility for many years) but have another photosensitive condition and various other spoony things. Did you remember to cover up (inc hat) and use loads of sun cream?

It's never easy to tell if it's spoons or something else, it takes a fair amount of trial and error in my experience!
