Saw a gynaecologist this morning, and apparently I have the largest cervical polyp she's ever seen. It is massive - sticking about 4 or 5 cm out of the entrance of my vagina, and broad enough that my vagina feels uncomfortably stretched.
The GP had diagnosed a prolapse, but gynaecologist was sure there's no prolapse and it's a polyp (she did ultrasound to check).
I had a baby 4 months ago (forceps delivery) - surely if the polyp was already there the midwives etc would have seen it? How could I go from no visible polyp to a massive one in just 4 months? Or would it not have been visible then?
I know that most polyps aren't cancerous but the rapid growth is stressing me out....
