weird sensations and seeing things that aren't happening

For the past couple of weeks I keep thinking the car is rolling back when I have parked it. Today when I was driving I thought a parked car I was driving up to was reversing, it takes a few seconds before I actually realise these things aren't actually happening.
Any thoughts?

How's your balance? If I have an inner ear problem (sometimes just caused by being dehydrated) I often feel that I'm moving when I'm not or that other things are moving slightly when in fact my head is moving slightly but I'm not registering it.

Its ok.
I think Im going into a Lupus flare so it could be tgat, but if it is its something new.

If you close your eyes when standing still do you sway/lean to one side?
I get this too, today I slammed the breaks on in the car when it was already off and hand break on.

For me it's the beginning of labaryinthitis flaring up and usually takes about 4/6 weeks to go away

No its fine when Im standing. I have terrible hayfever atm. My sinuses are popping and cracking all over the place so it could be an ear thing connected to that maybe?

Get something for the sinuses, it often affects balance etc. Mine caused me to have blackouts and faint but it was a very bad case of chronic sinusitis that lasted for months.

ellenjames · 04/05/2015 19:26

Helen how did you get rid of your sinusitis? I have the same thing at the moment I feel bloody rough but not actually passed out yetShock

Cocolepew · 04/05/2015 20:08

I thought I was taking sinusitis the other dsy but it didn't materialise.
It must be connected, thanks Smile

Lots of antibiotics and Neil'smed sinus rinse (which is bloody awful but it works!).

mineofuselessinformation · 04/05/2015 22:21

Try some buccastem / stemetil. See if that helps. It sounds like labyrinthitis to me - I've had exactly the same symptoms as you, or an inner ear infection.

mineofuselessinformation · 04/05/2015 22:24

Coming back to say - if you use the sinus rinse, make sure it's at body temperature or it won't be pleasant! And breath through your mouth.

Cheers I have had 3 loads of antibiotics and have a nasal spray and been told to basically put up with it! It makes driving interesting when the road moves when I dontGrin. Will look into the nasal rinse thing!
