Gynae query

I went to see a gynaecologist today as I have had a bit of spotting and irregularity in my periods post baby no 3 (who is now 9 months).

She was very nice, did a smear but said everything looked ok in my cervix from her examination, took some bloods and then sent me for an ultrasound. The sonigrapher who was doing my ultrasound said that my uterus and ovaries looked ok, there was nothing nasty or sinister but that I had some endometriosis and that he could see that I had had three children from the scan and it had left some changes. He repeated that it was nothing nasty or sinister but that it would be a 'nuisance' and that I would be in good hands with the consultant. I go back to see her in two weeks, but am now very worried! The sonigrapher did say he would email me a report of the ultrasound in the meantime.

Now panicking about what he means by a 'nuisance' and what will need to be done, and wishing that I had asked more questions.

So my u/s report says 'ovaries - multi follicular with prominent stromal changes. Otherwise NAD'. Has anyone else had this or know what it means?

Is this the same as PCOS? Have you googled the phrase multi follicular stromal changes?
