Over the last 6-7 weeks I have had a lot of pain in my joints. My hands are especially painful and I have lost my grip almost. It hurts to carry anything and I have a constant ache in my hands.
I have Pernicious Anaemia and Im on B12 injections but have had this (well been diagnosed with this-I must have had it for ages before that) for 2.5 years and had no joint pain before.
I also take an Anti-Depressant called Mirtazapine as I suffer from Imsomnia.
I feel as though Ive aged about 20 years overnight-Im only 38 and got 2 young children. Managed to finally get a GP appointment tomorrow but just wondered if it sounded familiar to anyone?
Spoke to Pharmacist who suggested Ibuprofen which might as well have been smarties for all the difference it made so I went back again and he suggested Paracetamol and Codeine as well as the Ibuprofen which has made the pain bearable for about 1-2 hours after I take them but as soon as it wears off the pain returns. To make things more complicated we are off on holiday to the Middle East in 2 weeks time where Codeine is banned unless prescribed and the thought of a holiday with 2 children in this much pain is not filling me with joy.
